Beneath the streets of downtown Los Angeles lies a hidden treasure
The oldest Angeleno lived and died in 3rd century Rome.
St. Vibiana, virgin, martyr, hidden one…
She lived and died for Christ.
But she was forgotten for millennia.
Until December 9th 1853 when she was unearthed in Rome.
“To the soul of the innocent and modest Vibiana, laid to rest on the eve of September 1st.”
And by order of Pope Pius IX, she was named the principal patroness of the most visible city in the world.
For 120 years her devotion thrived…
Her Cathedral bells rang…
And above her high altar, her relics watched over us.
But at the end of the 20th century, she was forgotten all over again…
Until now.
Unlock St. Vibiana’s powerful patronage for generations to come.
